Marco Di Giovan Paolo, M.D.
specialist in Laparoscopic Surgery
I’m Marco Di Giovan Paolo, M.D., and I help those who have abdominal hernia problems through innovative and non-invasive techniques, to quickly return to their daily lives.
I know that the idea of surgery and especially of general anesthesia can scare and often, in order to avoid them, many patients prefer to defer and endure the pain. However, this behaviour does increase the symptoms and leads to a more complex surgery procedure.
When one notices a lump in the abdomen be that permant or that it tends to appear, then disappear and then return, these may well be symptoms of an abdominal hernia.
Often the discomfort is purely from an aesthetic point of view but more often than not this problem can have an affect on your day to day life and activies.
It is essential to respond promptly to the symptoms otherwise there is a notable risk of it adversely impacting on a persons day to day life due to the level of discomfort and or pain, and there is a high risk of making the symptoms worsen.
The intervention (in laparoscopic or open) that I propose which is a minimal invasive technique enables the patient to return to every day activity within a brief recovery time. For this reason I encourage patients to address their symptoms from their first occurrence since, in most cases, the surgery can take place as part of a day clinic without of the use of general anesthetic.
Laparoscopic surgery, when practiced at the right time and with the use of innovative systems, is proven to be the most effective intervention for the elimination of pain, discomfort and and promptly return to ones daily routines.
My support and expertise will be afforded throughout the therapy - from the initial consultation and especially throughout the post surgery phase. This will guarantee a better management of ones abdominal hernias.
